Hello everyone, it’s time to write a review about my new purchase – the long-awaited Philips EP 2231/40 coffee machine. It is long-awaited because we have long been choosing which model makes the best coffee and which one is easier and more practical to use. I did not really want to try the coffee in the store itself, so the selection was made by sampling (coffee at friends and relatives) and by studying reviews. I chose this model because it has all the features which satisfied our expectations and needs. I was also bribed by the compact size and ease of operation of the coffee machine, and the fact that this brand has a reputation as a reliable manufacturer.

Appearance
The design of this model is for me a very important advantage of it compared to other machines. Stylish and modern Philips EP 2231/40 can decorate your kitchen in almost any style.
As it should be, there are maximum limits on all containers (water container, milk container, coffee container). There are also all the necessary “event” indicators.
Intuitive control menu allows you to quickly grasp the principle of using this coffee machine, even people who are not friendly with technology (yes, that’s me)).
Let’s take a look at the main parts and functions of this model:
The main control panel. The display shows each step of the coffee preparation. Also adjusts the degree of grinding, strength of the drink, the volume of the drink, water hardness, temperature. Also indicators of the containers fullness.
On top there is a spacious sealed compartment for beans and a small compartment for ground coffee.
My favorite is the removable automatic cappuccinator, without which coffee just isn’t coffee to me. Easy to remove and insert, also easy to rinse. Automatically heats and froths the milk, making a delicious and gentle foam.
True, there is a small disadvantage – the milk tank is a little uncomfortable, because sometimes falls when you catch it in the fridge (because of not very stable bottom).

The coffee adapter is height-adjustable.
Pulls out easily, so far has not caused any problems or inconvenience when pouring out.
The mechanism on the right extends, which should be cleaned periodically.
A container for used coffee grounds (I guess everyone already knows that they can be used as a natural body scrub).
And the most important thing… The coffee is aromatic and tasty. It’s hard for me to please, because I’m very selective and picky about food and drinks, but this coffee machine coped with its task.
My favorite cappuccino has been pleasing me for three months now, thanks to our machine.
The milk froth is gentle and dense, it doesn’t crumble. The milk foams well and it is a pleasure to make coffee with the automatic cappuccinator. I use vegetable milk and it makes the same perfect froth.
You can put one or two cups at once. The size and volume of the cups can also be any size.
Of the disadvantages – a little noise in operation. But I haven’t met a quiet coffee machine yet.
Bottom line
What can I say, the car is good in all aspects, except for its high noise level. I can’t stand the noise within the limited space of the apartment, it is unrealistically annoying. So much so, that I don’t want to use it. You can’t start it up early in the morning if you risk waking up the neighbors. In general, I can not recommend it to those who, like me, can not stand the loud noises around him.

It was not an easy choice because I wanted value for money, I chose a more budget-friendly option. But at the last moment I decided not to save on my pleasure and buy a quality coffee maker. My choice was a Philips EP 2231 coffee machine. It was a little more expensive than I had planned, but it was worth it! The first thing I noticed is that it is easy to make a few coffees to choose from and the automatic cappuccinator was a pleasant surprise to me, since I’m a fan of cappuccino. The crema is dense without crumbling, which allows you to preserve the true taste of real coffee. The machine can be operated intuitively, which allows you to make coffee even a small child. The machine is started by pressing just one button, which is not unimportant.
Thanks to its small size, it fit perfectly in my small kitchen. Not only has this machine saved space in my kitchen, but it has also saved me money because it uses very little electricity.
And the self-cleaning function means that I don’t have to spend a lot of time cleaning it, and it also allows my coffee machine to last much longer.
I can adjust the degree of grind, which is very convenient because my family members like to drink different kinds of coffee. The same goes for the strength of the beverage – the machine can put more beans per cup or I can increase the hot water pressure and delivery speed. While I wash my face, it tests itself, rinses the system, mixes the coffee and makes my favorite cappuccino, not a morning is complete without real coffee.
